There is a large meadow I know surrounded by woods where I often go to watch the deer. They emerge from the woods quite unexpectedly because there is a small stream,
which runs along one edge which means they can move
So, I imagined a pair of roe here, in the rut preparing to come onto the field to feed and chase, just behind a screen of trees with sunlight catching their coats and dappling the ground.
