These Vervet monkeys are selecting ripe monkey oranges based on something we watched at Umhlanga Rocks in Natal. The grouping is based on an earlier picture, I did of baboons crouching on a rock face in Kenya, looking out for a leopard. Images stick in my mind and it occurred to me that family bonds probably dictated how the animals reacted in both situations. No danger here the vervets go through the fruit as though they were picking over a market stall.
